I did searching all throughout the internet for a good value on a charging station and came up with a winner. This charging station is middle of the road for price, but very high in respect to value. Most all stations from different brands under $40 all seemed to have questionable reviews and low quality was a regular theme with people who had bought them. While I do not own any other stations to speak from either good or bad experience, I was very impressed with this purchase.
The Brookstone station has a very heavy duty power strip included with heavy gauge wiring. Additionally, the station came with two short pigtail (flying) cords about 4 inches long to accomodate plugging transformers in without sacrificing the transformer blocking other outlets. This is very thoughtful and a major plus considering these extras could really jack the price up. Just these added bonuses make the $49 price tag appropriate.
Beyond the electronics, this unit's layout is very well designed. It has very wide charging positions on the top portion with a lower slot allowing for additional charging options. You can actually fit a very large-based charger or beefy camera on this station with no problem, which is a big help because you can charge more than just a phone.
Lastly, this product is built like a peice of furniture. The construction feels sturdy and the wood is not inferior quality. The back of the unit, where all plugs and cables are held, has a well designed door with good hardware hinges and a magnetic close to keep everything out of sight. The door also has cut slots to allow the user to customize how cables are run. It is even possible to have an oversized transformer somewhere else hidden and run the cords back through the rear door into the station and still have a very neat appearance.
I am very happy that people have reviewed this and other charger stations, which steered me in the right direction of this prodect. While it is slightly higher priced, I think you will find that you have no regrets compared to what you would get with a cheaper item. |

You can actually plug and install more than 4 items at the same time, but I bought this more for the "battery low" syndrome.
We had some kind of organization problem: not enough outlets in the house, too many people with things to recharge every day.
This charging station not only look good on a desk (doesn't look like cheap dollar store stuff), but also saved our 5 people family 10 min each every morning to "help me find my damn phone" and to avoid the fight for a plug every night "hey, that was my turn to charge my phone".
Now, we come home, we plug.
Next thing I am considering to buy is a coffee machine or a vending machine to install next to my desk.
This charging station became the central point of the house.
If you get a house full of teens with cell phones, this station is a must have.

| I was quite impressed when I opened the package containing this charging station. Although it is large, it has be in order to house the power strip and 6 electronic device it will charge. It is finished nicely. By that I mean that there are no rough edges, no gaps in joints, and the finish is smooth. This is a quality product and worth the extra $ over what you will find at the pharmacy stores and other less expensive ones. I found one at CVS at Christmas time that looked very similar, but when I took it out of the box it was evident that it was not a quality made product and it was selling for $25. I'm glad I purchased this one. |

| I purchased this charging station last week and when it arrived I was surprised to see how beautiful and large it was. Not only is the finish flawless and looks easy to clean/dust, but the compartment that holds all the wires is so spacious! I am recommending this to anyone who wants a low cost charging station that looks like it cost a hundred dollars. |

| Comes with some power strip liberators and power strip. Everything fits well, and appears to be of high quality. Very pleased with it. Only suggestion would be -- too bad the power strip doesn't have a built-in surge protector. |
